Jacqueline Wilson thrills Lancaster pupils with festive visit and new Faraway Tree chapter
Children’s author Jacqueline Wilson visited Lancaster in December 2024, speaking to 272 pupils and 35 staff from eight primary schools about her new book, A Christmas Adventure, part of The Magic Faraway Tree series. The Q&A-filled event took place in a chapel decorated for Christmas. Most pupils pre-ordered signed copies, and students presented flowers to the author. Librarian Rosalind Buckland helped organize the visit.
