80-Year-Old Fugitive Finally Arrested After Long Escape in Thailand
Richard Burrows, an 80-year-old former housemaster and scout leader, was arrested at Heathrow Airport after evading justice for 27 years. Convicted of 97 child abuse offences, he fled to Thailand in 1997, using a stolen identity to hide. Burrows admitted guilt but remained remorseless, calling his time on the run 'living in paradise.' Sentencing is set for April 2024.
